Course Measuring & Certification
Let your runners know you’re serious – so they can be too
No one can truly establish a personal best or compare one performance to another if the course distance is not accurate. (And you have no idea how unexciting it is to tell people you ran a “sort-of personal best.”) So, For any road running performance to be accepted as a record or be nationally ranked, it must be run on a USATF-certified course. This rule also applies for any races wishing to be a New York Marathon or Peachtree qualifying race.
We are a certified measurer for both USATF and RRTC and meet the same standards that guide national and international level road races. Certification, along with chip timing, is one of those key factors that runners will look for when deciding if a race is legitimate enough to run. So, while it is another added expense, you only need it once for every ten years, and it pays for itself in the first year as long as you spread the word.
